    Representational image Scientists have developed a new system that can detect sarcasm in social media posts, and interpret it for people with autism and Asperger's syndrome who have difficulty understanding such statements. "There are a lot of systems designed to identify sarcasm, but this is the first that is able to interpret sarcasm in written text," said Lotam Peled, graduate student at Technion-Israel Institute of Technology.
